Full-service accounting for nonprofits.
Bookkeeping, Form 990, audit prep, payroll, and board-ready financials. One monthly investment. Built for executive directors of $500K to $10M nonprofits who need program-level numbers — not generic P&Ls.
Generalist CPAs treat your nonprofit like a small business. It isn't one.
Your funders, your board, and the IRS all want different numbers in different formats. Most accountants give you one P&L and call it done — then the awkward questions start.
Your board wants to know if Program A is bleeding money or covering itself. Your generic accountant gives you a single consolidated statement. You can't answer the question.
Donor-restricted revenue, grant timing, release from restriction — none of it shows up correctly in QuickBooks because nobody set it up correctly. Audit time becomes archaeology.
Form 990 demands you split costs into program, management, and fundraising. Most firms allocate by gut feel in March. The result: a 990 that looks suspicious to grantmakers and watchdogs.
Your CPA prepares the 990. A separate auditor does the audit. They don't talk. You get billed by both for the same reconciliations. Sound familiar?
One firm. One monthly investment. Everything a nonprofit needs.
No à-la-carte surprise invoices. No handoffs between your bookkeeper, CPA, and audit firm. Your package and engagement letter define the services included.
Full transaction coding, restricted vs. unrestricted tracking, grant timing, release from restriction. Reconciled and closed by the 15th.
Numbers split by program, not just consolidated — so your board, your funders, and your ED all see what's actually working and what isn't.
Federal 990, state charitable registration, RRF-1 (CA AG), and any additional state filings. Filed by your CPA team — not a stranger.
We organize accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for your independent auditor, including Single Audit preparation when applicable. Snap does not perform audits, reviews, or other assurance engagements.
Full payroll administration through Gusto or your existing platform. Year-end W-2s, 1099s, and contractor compliance handled.
Quarterly finance committee deck, narrative explanation of variances, and your CFO joins board meetings on request. No more your ED translating accountant-speak.
A 13-week rolling forecast updated monthly. Critical when grants pay quarterly but payroll runs every two weeks.
Per-grant budget tracking, indirect cost allocation, and reporting packets organized around your funders' requirements.
Clear, predictable investments. No hourly billing.
We publish our starting investments because hiding it wastes everyone's time. Your tier depends on annual revenue, number of programs, and grant complexity.

Fund accounting setup, chart-of-accounts design, grant tracking infrastructure, and onboarding. The one-time Foundation Fee is 2 to 4 times your monthly fee, depending on complexity and setup requirements. Prior period catchup and cleanup are scoped and quoted separately.
Prior period catchup and cleanup
Prior-period catchup brings missing months or years of bookkeeping up to date. Cleanup corrects and reconciles records that have already been entered. Both are scoped separately from the Foundation Fee, with a custom investment based on how far back the work goes, transaction volume, and the condition of your records. We confirm the scope and investment in your proposal.
We turn down nonprofits we can't serve well. Here's the filter.
Saying yes to the wrong client hurts both of us. Read this section before you book a call.
Most of these should describe your organization:
- You're a 501(c)(3) with current tax-exempt status. This service is designed for charitable nonprofits. Business owners can explore our Small Business offering.
- Annual revenue is $500K to $10M. Below that, our investment levels won't make sense for you. Above that, we'll talk and refer if needed.
- You run multiple programs and need to know which ones are sustainable.
- You receive grants (federal, state, foundation) and report on them quarterly or annually.
- You have an active board with a finance committee that wants real numbers — not just a 990 in March.
- Your ED or CEO is ready to invest in proper financial infrastructure, not patch it together.
- You want one firm handling bookkeeping, 990, audit prep, and CFO advisory together.
Any of these apply:
- You're under $500K in revenue. Use a part-time bookkeeper and a separate CPA for the 990. We'd love you back when you grow.
- You're a private foundation that only grants out and files 990-PF. We don't specialize there.
- You're a 501(c)(4), c6, or political org. We focus exclusively on c3s.
- You operate primarily outside the US with foreign subsidiaries or significant FBAR exposure.
- You're looking for the cheapest option. Our investment reflects the level of support we provide.
- Your board doesn't want to see real numbers. We won't sugarcoat what your statements show.
- You're a church. Special filings, special expectations. Not our lane.
